Psalm 100: Invitation to Praise

Sing joyfully to God, all the earth
Serve the Most High with gladness.
Come with Joy into the presence of God.

Know that the Most High is our God,
our Creator, to whom we belong;
we, the flock God leads as a shepherd.

Enter the gates with thanksgiving,
the courts of the Holy One with praise.
Give thanks and bless the name of God.

Indeed, how good is our God,
whose merciful love is unfailing,
whose faithfulness continues forever!

Psalm 118: Processional Song of Praise

Give thanks to God who is so good,
whose love is everlasting!

Let the house of Israel say:
“God's love is everlasting”
Let the house of Aaron say:
“God's love is everlasting&rdquo

All who fear the Holy One say:
“God's love is everlasting.rdquo;
When I called out in my distress,
God answered and set me free.

With God at my side, I have no fear.
What can anyone do against me?
With God, a mighty warrior on my side,
I will triiumph over my foes.

It is better to rely on God,
than to depend on human beings.
It is better to rely on God,
than to trust the powerful on earth.

All the nations were surrounding me;
in the name of God I repelled them.
They hemmed me in on every side;
in the name of God I repelled them.

They swarmed around me like bees,
burning like fire among thorns.
In the name of God I repelled them.

I was pushed hard and about to fall,
but the Most High came to my help.
God is my strength and my song,
and has become my savior.

The sounds of joy and salvation
echo in the tents of the just.

God's right hand brought the victory;
the right hand of God is exalted.
The right hand of God is triumphant.

I shall not die, but live,
and proclaim the works of God.
Although severly punished,
I was not abandoned to death.

Open the gates of victory,
that I may enter with thanksgiving.
This is the portal of the Holy One,
the just may enter here.

I thank you for you have answered me;
you have become my salvation.
The stone that the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone.

This is the work of the Almighty,
a wonder before our eyes.
This is the day of God's triumph,
we rejoice and are glad!

Save us, O God, we pray,
and give us success.
Blessed are those who come in your name.
We bless you from the house of God.

The Holy One is our God,
who has given us light.
Form a procession with branches
up to the horns of the altar.

You are my God, I thank you.
My God, I extol you
I thank you for your goodness;
your love is everlasting.

Daniel 3:52-56

Bless'd are you, O God of our ancestors,
praiseworthy and exalted above all forever.
Bless'd is your holy and glorious name,
praiseworthy and exalted above all forever.

Bless'd are you in the temple of your glory,
praiseworthy and glorious above all forrever.
Bless'd are you on the throne of your kingdom,
praiseworthy and exalted above all forever.

Bless'd are you who look into the depths,
from your throne upon the cherubim.
bless'd are you in the firmament of heaven,
praiseworthy and exalted above all forever.

Psalm 150: Final summons to Praise

Praise God in the sanctuary,
and in the vast expanse of heaven.
Praise God's surpassing greatness,
immensity, grandeur and might.

Praise God with the sound of trumpet,
sing praise with harp and lyre.
With tambourines and dancing,
praise God with strings and pipes.

Praise God with resounding cymbals,
sing praise with clashing of cymbals.
Let everything that has breath,
sing praise to God! (Alleluia)

Psalm 19: Praise God, the Law-giver

The heavens delcare your glory, O God,
and the skies proclaim your handiwork.
Each day tells the story to the next;
each night imparts knowledge to the other.

They have no words or language,
and their voices are not heard,
yet their sound goes out to ev'ry land,
their message to the ends of the world.

You have set a place for the sun;
like a bridegrooom it comes forth from its tent,
and exults like a champion to run its course.

It rises from one end of the heavens,
and crosses over to the other end,
warmly embracing ev'rything.

O God, your law is perfect,
refreshing to the soul.
Your decrees are worthy of trust,
giving wisdom to the siimple.

Your precepts, O God, are just,
giving joy to the heart.
Your instructions are clear,
giving light to the eyes.

Your authority is revered,
it stands firm forever.
Your judgments are true,
and altogether just.

More desirable than gold,
even the finest gold,
they are sweeter than honey,
than honey from the comb.

Indeed we are enlightened by them;
obeying them brings a great reward.
But how can I know when I offend?
Cleanse me from unknown faults.

Keep me from sins of presumption;
let them not rule over me.
Then shall I be above reproach,
innocent of grave offense.

May all the words of my mouth,
and the thoughts of my heart,
be pleasing to you, O God,
my Rock and my Redeemer.

Psalm 24: The Ruler of the Universe

The earth belongs to God with its fulness,
the world, and all living beings,
for God founded it upon the seas,
and founded it upon the sees,
and set it firmly on the waters.

Who may ascend the mountain of God?
Who may stand in that holy place?

Those with clean hands and pure hearts,
who desire not what is vain,
and do not swear with deceit.

They will have blessings and reward
from the Holy One, their Savior.
These are the people who seek God,
seek the face of the God of Jacob.

O gates, open wide!
Ancient portals, reach out!
The glorious king comes in!

Who is this glorious king?
The Most High, strong and powerful,
the Holy One, mighty in batlte.

O gates, open wide!
Ancient portals, reach out!
The glorious king comes in!

Who is this glorious king?
The God of power and might;
the glorious king is God!

Isaish 12:1-4

I give you thanks, O God,
for though you were angry with me,
your anger has turned away,
and you have given me comfort.

Behold the God of my salvation!
I am confident and unafraid.
God is my strength and my song,
and has become my Savior.

With joy you will draw water
from the springs of salvation.
And you will say on that day:
give thanks and praise God's name.

Psalm 148: Praise of all Creation

Praise God from the heavens,
and in the heights sing praise.
Praise God, all you angels,
with all the heav'nly host.

Praise God, sun and moon,
and all you shining stars.
Praise God, highest heavens,
and waters above the heavens.

Let them praise the name of God,
by whose command they were created,
who set them in place for all time,
by a law that will not be changed.

Praise God from the earth,
sea monsters and ocean depths,
fire and hail, snow and mist,
stormy winds that obey God's word;

All mountains and hills,
all fruit trees and cedars,
wild animals and cattle,
creeping things and birds that fly.

All peoples and nations,
earth's leaders and rulers,
young men and women,
the young and the old together.

Praise the Name of the Most High,
whose Name alone is exalted,
for the majesty of God
is above heaven and earth.

God raised up strength for the people,
for the praise of all the faithful,
for the children of Israel,
a people to whom God comes near.

Lauds: Sundays - for 4th and 7th Sundays of Easter

Psalm 96: Universal reign of the true God

Sing to God a new song;
sing to God all the earth.

Bless the Name of the Most High ev'ry day,
and tell the good news of salvation.
Among the nations declare God's glory,
to all peoples recount those saving deeds.

For God is great and worthy of praise,
to be feared above all other gods.
The gods of the nations are mere idols;
it was our God who made the heavens.

Oh, the majesty and splendor of God's Presence!
In the sanctuary are beauty and power.
Give to God, you families of nations,
to the Most High give glory and praise.

Give glory as the Name of God deserves;
bring gifts into the courts of the Most High.
Adore God in the splendor of holiness.
Earth, tremble before the Holy Presence!

Say to all the nations: “Our God reigns,
who has made the world firm in its place,
who will judge the peoples with equity.”

Let the heavens be glad and earth rejoice;
let the sea and what fills it resound
Let the fields and all within them exult,
all the trees of the forest shout for joy.

At the Presence of the Holy One who comes,
who comes to rule the earth.
God will judge the world with justsice.
and all the peoples with truth.

Psalms 97: Earth rejoices in God's reign

God reigns! Let the earth rejoice!
Let the many islands be glad!
Cloud and darkness surround the Holy One,
whose throne is based on justice and truth.

Fire goes before the Most High,
and consumes the enemies round about.
Lightnings light up the world;
the earth sees it and trembles with fear.

The hills melt away like wax.
before the Most High who rules the earth.
The heavens proclaim God's justice;
all peoples see the glory of the Holy One.

All who worship false idols are ashamed,
those who boast of their worthless gods.
All gods bow before the Most High.
Zion hears and is filled with joy.

The cities of Judah rejoice.
because of your judgments, O God.
For you are Most High above the earth,
exalted far above all other gods.

You love all those who have evil,
and protect the lives of the faithful;
you save them from the hands of the wicked.

Light dawns for those who are just,
and joy for the upright of heart.
Rejoice in the Most High, you just,
and praise God's holy Name.

1 Chronicles 29:10-14

Bless'd are you, O God of Israel,
forever and forever!
Grandeur and power belong to you,
majesty, splendor and glory.

All in heaven and on earth is yours;
and you are exalted over all.
Riches and honor are from you,
for you have dominion over all.

In your hand are power and might;
you give grandeur and strength as you will.
Now, we give you thanks, O God,
and we praise your holy Name.

Psalm 117: Doxology of all nations

Praise God, all you nations;
everyone, acclaim the Most High!
God's loving kindness is great!
Our God is faithful forever!
